How your information is used

To make our service to you more efficient, Thanet District Council and Dover District Council now share the same computer system to process Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit, Council Tax liabilities and Business Rates liabilities.

The information you have supplied to us is held securely, but now may be accessed by both Thanet and Dover authorised staff in order to work out benefit entitlement or Council Tax/Business Rates liability.

We have to let you know, because at the time you supplied information to us, we told you that it would be used by Thanet District Council only.
