Most of the information you will require from the Council is available on this website. If you can’t find the information you need online, you can call the Council on the main switchboard number 01843 577000. The guide below shows the times that we experience high, medium and low call volumes to this number and approximate waiting times. Please refer to this when calling us to ensure the quickest response.
If you need to call during periods of high call volumes, you can leave a message when prompted and we will call you back. All messages are then answered in the order that they are received.

Margate railway station is about 10 minutes walk from the offices, or a short taxi journey. Bus services stop at Cecil Square just a few steps from the Council Offices.

There are pay and display parking bays in Cecil Street and opposite the offices in Hawley Square. Two pay and display car parks can be found at Mill Lane and College Square (off Hawley Street), both less than five minutes' walk from the offices.
