Open six days a week, Thanet’s Gateway Plus is the new place for
council and library services in the heart of Margate.
Opening times of Thanet's Gateway Plus:
- Monday's to Fridays from 9am until 6pm
- Late night opening until 8pm on Thursdays
- Saturdays from 9 am and 5pm
Opened in January 2008, Thanet Gateway Plus is
a partnership project funded by Thanet District Council
and Kent County Council.
Services on offer at Thanet's Gateway Plus include:
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax enquiries
- Licensing
- Environmental Health
- Electoral services
- Housing
- Rubbish and Recycling collections
- Highways
- Education
- Social services and care
- Register of births, marriages and deaths on Fridays between 9am
- 4pm (appointments required)
- Book loan
- FREE internet
- CD loan and DVD Loan
- Local studies
- Art gallery
- Children's and teen area
- Baby bounce on Tuesdays 10-10.30am
- Reading group on third wednesday of the
month 2-3pm

We also have the following services in Thanet's Gateway
Plus:
- NHS stop smoking sessions on Wednesday at
10-11.30am
- NHS health trainers on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9am-12.30pm
and wednesdays 2-5pm
- Wantsum Savers on Wednesdays at 10am-12pm and Fridays
at 3-5pm
- Local Ward Councillor surgeries are held on the last saturday
of the month at 10am-12pm for Margate Central and on the third
saturday of the month at 10am-12pm for Salmestone.
