Dealing with Bereavement
As the death of a relative or friend is a very traumatic
experience the following simple advice may be helpful. Once death
has been certified by a doctor, either in hospital or at home, the
first thing to do is to register the death.
A death is always registered at the Register Office for the
district in which the death took place.

Most people prefer to let a Funeral Director make all of the
arrangements for them. They have trained staff who can
provide a comprehensive service, including making all the your
arrangements with the Council.
