Drought

The south east of England is a relatively dry area. When we receive little rainfall during the summer, combined with dry winters, it can lead to drought conditions.

Although droughts do not happen that often, there are measures we can all take to help prevent them, principally by conserving water.

More information and full details about our current water resources can be found on Southern Water’s website

The Environment Agency also has a Frequently Asked Questions section about droughts on their website.
