The Council licences a wide range of people, premises, activities and vehicles - everything from taxis to entertainment venues and tattooing to street collections.

 

Licensing Fees

The fees charged for licensing are set by Government to allow local Councils to recover their costs.

Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Licensing

Street trading and Hawking

Thanet District Council does not issue street trading licences for the Thanet Area, the Council has designated a number of streets within the Area as ‘prohibited streets’.  Street trading on these streets is prohibited and thus illegal.
