How to make a payment
There are several ways to make a payment to Thanet District
Council. The Council accepts the following payment cards:
Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Delta, Electron and
Solo
1. Set up a Direct Debit - the easy way to pay

If you want to set up a direct debit for Council Tax or Business
Rates payments, you can download a form from
our Online forms section - just
fill it in and return it to us by post.
Or you can ask us to send you a form:
Use your Credit or Debit card to pay Council Invoices, Council
Tax, Business Rates, Housing Rents, Garage Rents, Mortgages,
Housing Benefit
Names and addresses are not included in receipts generated by
this website to maximise your security online.

3. Pay by telephone - 24 hour automated service
Use your credit or debit card to pay Council Invoices, Council
Tax, Business Rates, Housing Rents, Garage Rents, Mortgages and
Housing Benefit . Telephone 01843 577259.
4. Telebanking
Where your bank has a telebanking service, you can pay your bill
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Quote the Council's bank account
number 67834000, sort code 60-14-05 and your account reference that
appears on the front of your bill.
5. Paying in person
Payment Cards
We have introduced Payment Cards for use at all Post Offices and
PayPoint outlets for customers who prefer the convenience of a more
local payment service and are paying
Council Tax, Business rates, Council housing rents, Garage
rents.

- by post only - Please write your name and address and
account details on the back of your cheque and send to Thanet
District Council, Finance Dept.
