How You Can Get Involved

There are many different ways you can get involved in our campaign for Fairtrade Island Status. Whether you are an individual, community group, local business or school there's so much you can do to help us raise awareness of Fairtrade in Thanet.

Individuals & Community Groups

• Join our mailing list: keep up to date with all the latest Fairtrade news and events in Thanet. To sign up, please email fairtrade@thanet.gov.uk.

• Ask for more local and Fairtrade produce in your local stores and businesses: we now have a huge number of supermarkets and local businesses stocking local and Fairtrade produce. If your local store doesn't provide Fairtrade products, ask them to!

• Come and enjoy our Fairtrade events: there are a number of Fairtrade events in Thanet throughout the year which you can attend. For more information on Fairtrade events see the 'News' section of http://www.thanetfairtrade.org.uk/

Local Business

• All local businesses can positively support Fairtrade and our campaign by using Fairtrade products at work. We want to hear from organisations who have made Fairtrade part of their everyday business. So, if you're using at least two Fairtrade products, please get in contact and we can organise for you to make a Fairtrade pledge and have your support recognised.
