Thanet District Council Repayable Grants and Loans for Heating
and Insulation - 2007/08
At present, there are no more funds available for this grant
scheme.
We hope to have a new scheme for energy efficiency projects
soon. Details will be posted on this web site.
Coldbusters Heating and Insulation grants for people in
receipt of benefits - 2007/08
Keep warm this winter
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to landlords and homeowners
of property within Thanet. Grant money can be spent on
projects such as loft or cavity wall insulation, central heating
and the replacement of old inefficient boilers.
The scheme is part of the Council’s commitment to meeting the
Government’s Decent Homes Standards and is being managed by
Coldbusters on behalf of the Council’s Housing Improvement
Team.
Grants are available to homeowners who are claiming one of a
range of benefits, including Council Tax Benefits, Housing Benefit,
Income support, pension credit, disability living allowance, Child
Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit, Income Based Job Seekers Allowance,
Attendance Allowance, Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit, or
War Disablement Pension. Landlords who have tenants claiming any of
the eligible benefits can also apply for grants.
