Safer Stronger Communities Fund Open Day

26th April 2007 - Margate Media Centre, Margate Old Town

Around 150 local people turned out to find out more about the Safer Stronger Communities Fund and what it had achieved in it's first year. 

 

In 2006-07 SSCF approved funding for:

  • A household recycling freighter
  • Hanging baskets along Northdown Road
  • New market stalls for Cliftonville Farmers' market
  • Improvements to Dane Park
  • Refurbishment of the community room at St Paul's Church
  • A pond at Cliftonville Primary School
  • After School Club play area and equipment at Holy Trinity and St John's CE Primary School
  • Musical instruments at the Quarterdeck Youth Centre
  • CCTV in the Old Town
  • And much much more ....  

Art Competition

Children from Cliftonville Primary School and Holy Trinity and from St John's CE Primary School entered an art competition.  First prize was awarded to Suzannah for her "Fun at the Park" picture, to Chloe for her "Recycle, Recycle" picture and to Rebecca for her "Fun at the Beach" picture.
