Although SSCF has ended the majority of groups who received funding from the programme continue to be active in the area.
Grotto Hill Area Street Scheme used SSCF funding to clear and tarmac their alleyway, to make it a cleaner and safer place for all residents.
Dane Hill Area Action Group (DAAG) cleared and gated the alleyway between Booth Place and Dane Hill Row, to deter dumping of rubbish and anti-social behaviour in the area.

Margate Town Partnership brightened up Margate’s shopping area with their "Window on the Future" project. SSCF funding was used to produce artwork to transform empty and boarded-up shop windows, creating a visual impact for residents and visitors to the area.
Quarterdeck Youth Centre in Cliftonville received SSCF funding for an outdoor Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and seating, plus improvement to the front of the building and indoor meeting area.
Friends in Pain used SSCF funding to run a publicity campaign on local radio, so that more people become aware of the group and can take advantage of the activities on offer. The Cliftonville Bowling Club received SSCF funding to run their "Community and Family in2 Bowling" project, where residents can learn to bowl for free on Wednesdays and Sundays at the Indoor Bowls Centre in Cliftonville. Ring 227083 for more details.
The Cliftonville Partnership received funding for a dedicated Community Development Support Worker until the end of March 2007 to be a "point of contact" for businesses in Northdown Road as well as supporting the community to make improvements to the area such as the Northdown Road lighting project.

Full Throttle UK received SSCF funding to run ‘The Motorcycle Youth Project’ to promote safe, legal and responsible motorcycling and encourage interest in further education and achievement - through NVQ qualifications linked to the project.
SSCF funded the production of a ‘Margate Community Activities Leaflet’ to inform residents about the many activities taking place in Church Halls in Margate, such as parent and toddler groups.
Margate Cricket Club was granted SSCF funding to run winter indoor cricket sessions for Primary and Secondary age children at Hartsdown Technology College.
Sport 4NRG received funding to run a ten pin-bowling league in Cliftonville West for young people aged between 12-17. The bowling league provided diversionary activities for young residents, with the aim of creating a stronger sense of community in these areas.
SSCF funded the "Generate" project with Turner Contemporary to provide a series of workshops for parents and children in the area to make artwork together.
Using SSCF funding, “Hail a Hackney” provided safe night transport home from Margate town centre and seafront areas over the Christmas 2007 period. Kent Police ran this pilot scheme, with the aim of decreasing anti-social behaviour in the area.
East Kent Mencap received SSCF funding to install a training kitchen in their Day Centre on Northdown Road. Adults with learning disabilities use it to learn living skills such as cooking, hygiene and healthy eating.
Dalby Square Project received funding to start a Gardening Club for the benefit of residents in the area. Regular gardening days take place in the square to increase community spirit and integration.
The Theatre Royal received funds for new lighting and staging for community outreach work. The Theatre was purchased in 2007 with funding from the SSCF Programme and consequently the Margate Theatre Royal Trust has re-leased the building. First Margate Scouts received funding to erect a metal fence around the scout hut in Durban Road which has improved security and enabled more outside activities to safely take place.
Thanet District Council’s Environmental Action Programme delivered "Safer Streets for Cliftonville West" by improving the levels of lighting in 16 of the darkest streets by upgrading the existing lighting and erecting additional columns.
Cliftonville Resident’s Association received funding for additional seating and gazebos for use with the Cliftonville Farmer’s Market and summer concerts.
Pie Factory Music received funding for a mobile van with music making/recording facilities to increase the opportunities of local young people to learn music making skills.
SSCF funding has contributed to the refurbishment of the Community Pharmacy Gallery in Margate’s Old Town to create a community place where events, workshops and training can take place.
SSCF funding provided the finishing touches to the improvements to Dane Park. Funding was used to provide floodlighting for the previously funded Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and to provide a picnic area around the kiosk in the park.
