What shops are involved?

Over 100 local businesses have signed up to Thanet District Council’s Shop Local First incentive card scheme, which includes businesses in the five pilot shopping areas of:

• Birchington
• Broadstairs
• Margate
• Northdown Road
• Ramsgate
• Business type

All businesses taking part will also have a supply of Shop Local First incentive cards for you to pick up.  At the moment the Shop Local First incentive scheme is only taking part in the five areas above.  However, if the scheme is successful, we may extend it to other parts of Thanet in the future.

To mark next month’s National Chip Week (15th-22nd February) Eddie Gilbert’s fish and chip shop is to give away a free portion of chips with every large portion of fish bought during the week. The shop has also been nominated for the Potato Council’s “Perfect Portion Awards”
