Strong partnerships between business, the
university and local further education colleges offer employers
access to mployee development, student placements and specialist
research and development capabilities.
- A 72,400 strong workforce, including the high
level skills of 14,000 students studying in East Kent.
- Canterbury Christ Church University’s
Broadstairs Campus and Thanet College provide thousands of students
aged 16 and over with access to high quality courses including
A-Levels, Higher National Qualifications and vocational
skills.
- The Kent Innovation Centre provides a
district focus for innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, forging
links with industry and Canterbury Christ Church University to
enhance Thanet’s contribution to the local economy.
- A proposed £36 million investment to Thanet
College will provide high quality education and training for
employers and the local economy, bringing together the college and
university campuses.
