Public Inspection of the Edited Register of Electors

In accordance with the Representation of the People (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 your attention is drawn to the following:
  1. As set down by law, this register is available for general sale, in whole or in part, and can be used for any purpose.
  2. This register only contains the names of electors who have not indicated on their electoral registration forms that they want to 'opt out' of the register available for general sale.
  3. If your details are incorrect or are not included in the register when you believe they should be, please advise the Electoral Registration Officer immediately.  Remember that your details will not be included in this version of the register if you have asked to 'opt out'.
  4. If your name is included in this register, but you wish to 'opt out' of these details being included in future versions, please contact the Electoral Registration Officer in writing.
  5. Copies are available for sale from the Electoral Registration Officer.

 

Public Inspection of the Full Register of Electors

In accordance with the Representation of the People (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 your attention is drawn to the following:
  1. This register is open to public inspection, under supervision, and contains the names of all those registered to vote in the area mentioned above.
  2. If your details are incorrect or your name is not included in the register - or if you believe another entry is incorrect - please advise the Electoral Registration Officer immediately.
  3. Extracts from this register may only be recorded by making hand written notes.  Photocopying or electronic recording are not permitted by law.
  4. Information taken from this register should not be used for commercial purposes, unless the information has been published in the edited version of the register. 

 

Under the Regulations referred to above, anyone who fails to observe these conditions is committing a criminal offence.  The penalty is a fine of up to level 5.

 

Contravention of the above is a criminal offence, in accordance with the above Regulations.
