Commenting on Agenda Items prior to a meeting
Councillors make many decisions on behalf of the local
community and are keen to take account of the views of local
residents and businesses as part of this process. If you
would like to comment on an agenda item, please use our
online Agenda Comment form or alternatively use our
downloadable form found within our Forms
section. Please note that to complete the form you
will need to include:
- the name and date of the committee
- the title and reference number of the agenda item
.
Comments must be received at least 5 working days prior to the
meeting to be considered. We will also need your name
and address, although this information will not be circulated to
Councillors or revealed at the committee meeting.
Help using the Committee Minutes Library
The layout of the Committee Minutes Library follows the same
principles as a normal library with documents stored in folders,
which are kept on shelves. For example:
- shelf will be named after the relevant Committee
- Folder by the relevant year
- individual documents by the date of meeting.
Users can either look through the shelves at random, or search
the entire library or a specific shelf, using key words or phrases.
Guidance on the various search
options available is provided below.
Shelves representing the individual committees are listed in the
left-hand pane of the screen. Folders listing the democratic year
(May to April) for each committee are listed in the right-hand
pane.
To open a folder, highlight the folder and double click, or
chose the file menu and open.
The left-hand pane will now change to show the titles of all the
documents (individual committee meetings by date) within the
folder. Click on a document to view it. The content of the document
will appear in the right-hand pane. As you progress through the
text, the left-hand pane will show the headings within the document
to assist you in navigating.
You can adjust the sizes of the panes by clicking on, and
dragging, the vertical bar that separates them.
To return to the main library when you have finished in a
particular document, folder or shelf, click on library in the top
left of the toolbar.
