The Thanet District Local Plan was subject to public consultation in June 2001 (first deposit draft) and March 2003 (second deposit draft). Objections made during these periods were considered by independent Inspectors at the Local Plan Inquiry. Some objectors chose to present their cases and appear in person at the inquiry, the rest were considered as written representations.

The Inspectors have considered the evidence submitted by the Council and Objectors and submitted their report and recommendations to the Council.

The Council will now produce Modifications to the plan incorporating the recommendations as considered appropriate. These proposed modifications will then be available for public consultation.
