Consultation Overview

We asked you about planning the delivery of waste management to meet the needs of our customers now and in the future.  And to develop a strategy that will drive the way Thanet deals with waste disposal over the next 10 years.

We consulted with the public to help not only shape the way we deliver these services to you, but play a part in achieving a cleaner, more environmentally friendly Thanet

Consultation period deadline for completed questionnaires and comments was 19th August 2005.  Thank you to everyone who took part in this consultation.

Waste & Recycling
Who was consulted?
The views of local people were sought through questionnaires . A number of Roadshows were held at local supermarkets and Town centres.
What was the outcome?

You have told us that you want to see an improved refuse service and cleaner streets. The Council also has to continue increasing recycling rates to meet government targets.

To deliver on these priorities the Council is planning to change and improve the way it collects your domestic rubbish and recyclable materials.
