Background

Every year public consultation will be undertaken as part of Thanet District Council’s Asset Management Plan, with all council owned sites reviewed to see how cost effective, well maintained, well used and beneficial to the community they are.  As part of this process local people, ward councillors and Thanet District Council preferred partners, will be asked for their views on the possible sale of a number of identified sites and the proposed uses for them.

The schedule of disposal for 2009-10 included 17 identified sites. 

The consultation process for 2009-10 was carried out in accordance with guidelines as set out in the Asset Management Strategy.
