Survey results 2009

  • Feedback on the whole was very positive
  • 95% thought the summary was either well or very well presented, an increase of almost 15% since the last survey.
  • Almost 90% thought the summary clearly showed where their Council Tax is spent, again an increase from last time.
  • Most people felt that the information provided in the pie charts and tables was clear and easy to understand.  (82% for the tables and 90% for the pie charts).
  • When asked about the clarity of the information in the summary 18% wanted to see more narrative, 13% would prefer briefer bullet points however over 60% felt that the information is clear as it is.
  • Almost 100% (98.7%) thought that the summary was written in plain English, with over two thirds choosing ‘yes definitely’.
  • There was a fairly even split between those who did and did not know that residents could view the full set of accounts.
  • 73.7% were satisfied with how the council shares this information overall.
