Background

Each year Thanet Community Safety Partnership consults residents to find out their concerns and priorities around crime and safety in Thanet.  The findings from the consultation are then used to inform the Community Safety Action Plan for the next year.

This survey was also used to ask residents for their views on how to allocate £20,000 which came as part of a successful bid to the Home Office.  This money needed to be spent on tools and materials for projects to help address crime and safety in the area and needed to be allocated by the end of March 2009.

Residents were asked to chose from a number of options which were identified following concerns raised by the PACT (Partners and Communities Together) panels, local residents and councillors.
