Our Achievements 2006/7

In this section we set out some of our key ambitions for 2006/07and how we faired in achieving them.

 

Thanet's economy

Progress the former M&S site in central Margate and the adjacent Cecil Square scheme to design, and funded stage. For implementation in 2006/07. still in progression
Work with the airport owner to implement and impose as necessary the existing section 106 planning agreement, keeping stakeholders informed. yes
Renew agreement with Transeuropa Ferries by January 2007 yes, agreement extended

Safe neighbourhoods

Strengthen enforcement against the perpetrators of anti-social behaviour – agree new Enforcement Policy in July 2006

Quality Housing

Maximise investment in private sector housing in the district, by bringing 100 properties up to Decent Homes Standard and 84 back into use
