Quality Housing

• Continue to improve housing conditions and the housing market in Cliftonville and Margate Central by:

a) establishing a Project Board to oversee the Renewal programme to include residents

b) encouraging the redevelopment of derelict sites in the Renewal Area

• Promote initiatives and investment to tackle fuel poverty for people on low incomes, living in poor quality housing – resulting in 40 homes per year made decent

• Reduce the number of vulnerable people living in non decent accommodation through effective licensing and enforcement activity – resulting in 100 private sector homes being made decent each year through the Council’s intervention

• Prevent 70 households from becoming homeless through advice and intervention
