Fees and Charges
Fees and Charges Notes for Guidance
Generally fees and charges have been increased by up to 5%
in 2008/2009.
Crematorium fees have been increased by 5% inflation,
however consideration should be given to fees levied by other
crematoria and set accordingly (see paragraph below)
Where there is a commercial activity, market rates should be set
to maximise income yet remain competitive. For example mooring fees
at Ramsgate Harbour, regard should be had for market
conditions and demand for berths.
Where fees are levied for services that should break even over a
3 year period, (quasi trading accounts) such as the Building
Control Account and Land Charges, consideration should be given to
reducing the non-statutory element where there is a potential
over-recovery.
