Fees and Charges 2011-12

Fees and Charges Notes for Guidance

Generally fees and charges have been increased by up to 4% in 2011/2012.

Where there is a commercial activity, market rates should be set to maximise income yet remain competitive. For example mooring fees at Ramsgate Harbour, regard should be had for market conditions and demand for berths.

Where fees are levied for services that should break even over a 3 year period, (quasi trading accounts) such as the Building Control Account and Land Charges, consideration should be given to reducing the non-statutory element where there is a potential over-recovery.

Car Parking charges were increased significantly in 2008/09 and therefore no increase was made in 2009/10, 2010/11 or 2011/12.
