Renewal Grants: To date 278 housing renewal grants, committed £456k for housing improvements. 13 housing renewal projects completed (eg alley gates) £191k. Private owner contributions £237k. Launched all 4 phases of Renewal Area in January 2008. Over 100 grant application forms requested.
5	Promote initiatives and investment to tackle fuel poverty for people on low incomes, living in poor quality housing – 40 homes per year made decent	Year 4, 2011	Partner agencies continue to progress a substantial number of grants to tackle fuel poverty. 192 Homes brought up to Decent Homes standard through insulation and energy efficiency grants
6	Reduce the number of vulnerable people living in non decent accommodation through effective licensing and enforcement activity by 100 private sector homes being made decent each year through the Council’s intervention	Year 4, 2011	154 homes made decent.102 through improvement grants and 52 through enforcement activities
7	Reduce the incidence of homelessness and repeat homelessness and reduce the number of households living in temporary accommodation by:
7a)	reducing the number of households in temporary accommodation to less than 55	Year 3, 2010	Currently 50 households are in temporary accommodation which means that we have met our 2010 target 2 years early.
7b)	preventing 70 households each year from becoming homeless through advice and intervention	Year 4, 2011	153 achieved during the year- target exceeded
8	Introduce choice-based lettings by 2010 for the allocation of Council and Registered Social Landlord homes in Thanet	Year 3, 2010	On target - go live July 08.
9	Review the Council’s allocations policy to give appropriate priority to local residents and discourage the inward migration of vulnerable people to Thanet	Year 3, 2010	Review programmed for year three of Corporate plan after introduction of CBL- some minor amendments to be made in 2008/9 to accommodate CBL scheme and align Thanet policy with other East Kent Partners
10	Develop supplementary planning guidance to protect the nature of local communities, discourage the conversion of large properties to smaller units and resist the loss of domestic gardens to development	Year 2, 2009	This is a year Two project. However preliminary work in Cliftonville has commenced and has been reported to Members. Public Consultation in Cliftonville currently being taken.
