Reduce violent crime and fear of crime related to the night time economy by 4% year on year to 2011 by:

- The percentage of people feeling safe at night has increased from 45% to 53% in the last year 

1a) Using licensing powers to control establishments associated with night time anti social behaviour Night time economy violence is down by 7%. Series of licensing prosecutions has reinforced the message in key town centre locations. All project milestones met
1b) Extending CCTV coverage and monitoring during night time periods Additional CCTV Operators will be working throughout key summer months on Friday and Saturday night. All project milestones met
1c) Carrying out targeted partnership operations as directed by the Thanet Community Safety Partnership Tactical Group Many operations have been carried out including Operation Bounty, Kent Community Alcohol Partnership and the safer campaigns. Very successful Marine Terrace initiative completed. All project milestones met
2 Support the creative, cultural and tourism economy by:
2a) Promoting and improving coordination of partnership agencies through a comprehensive Domestic Abuse Strategy Strategy has been launched and a third of the actions have been achieved. All project milestones met
2b) Providing outreach to support the four wards in the district that suffer from the highest levels of domestic abuse Outreach officer funded by the partnership. All project milestones met
2c) Delivering an awareness campaign to encourage reporting and contact with services Awareness campaign ran over Christmas and Valentine’s Day. All project milestones met

Reduce levels of criminal damage in Thanet by 4% year on year by 2011 by:

- Recorded incidents of criminal damage reduced by 18.5% with 642 less incidents by end of March 2008

3a) Producing a Graffiti Strategy with strands to tackle or improve: removal, enforcement and prevention Graffiti strategy completed and being implemented with increased enforcement, diversion activities  and a new removal service All project milestones met
3b) Working in partnership with Kent Police to successfully prosecute graffiti taggers Operation tag 2 & 3 were successful with 9 arrests in total and 4 convictions All project milestones met
4) Robustly tackle anti-social behaviour by:
4a) Signing up to and complying with the Respect housing management standard Electronic work flowed processes developed to support compliance with Respect Agenda. All project milestones met
4b) Using and applying the wide range of tools available including Anti Social Behaviour Orders (ASBO), Acceptable Behaviour Agreements (ABA) and Dispersal Areas Applications for 9 ASBO related to estate gangs applied for in November 2008. Other ASBOs and acceptable Behaviour agreements being pursued. All project milestones met
