Switch off and Support WWF's Earth Hour.

On Saturday 27th March 2010 at 8.30pm WWF want a billion people around the world to switch off their lights for one hour to show political leaders and decision makers that they care about climate change.

Global warming needs to be kept below 2 degrees centigrade or there is a risk that uncontrollable changes to the way our planet works which will mean serious threats to many key habitats and species.

In addition to signing up and switching off your lights - you could use the hour of darkness to do some fundraising for WWF. they have many suggestions for events you could hold including a quiz (check the website for details of questions).
