Let's work together

Thanet Council cannot do this job on its own.  Improving these areas requires your co-operation and involvement of the whole community.

We need the support of local businesses, community groups and local people to take an active role in improving their local areas.

How you can help

You can also help to make Thanet a more attractive place to live and work by:

• Not dropping litter or takeaway food
• Not spitting out chewing gum
• Not dropping cigarettes
• Not allowing your dogs to foul public areas
• Not parking on pavements or in dangerous places
• Not spraying graffiti or vandalising property
• Being willing to intervene if you see others doing these things

The number makes it easy for you to report problems. It covers all of the Thanet area, but as we are concentrating first on our busy town centres, calls for these areas will be treated as a priority and dealt with by the EAP team.

When you call, we will record your call details and try to indicate how long it will take to deal with problems.

We may need to contact you again to confirm details or tell you if there have been problems in taking the necessary action.
