Food Premises Registration

Registration of premises used for a food business (including market stalls, delivery vehicles, and other moveable structures) is required by law at least 28 days before the start of trading.

Registration allows local authorities to keep an up-to-date list of all those premises in the area so they can visit them when they need to.

Apply online

Any change in ownership or type of food premises registrations requires a new full application.

Please note that you will be making your application to Thanet Council via Business Link’s online licensing service (UK Welcomes) . There is no charge for using this facility.

It is in the public interest that the authority must process your application before it can be granted. If you have not heard from the local authority within a reasonable period, please contact it. You can do this online if you applied through the UK Welcomes service or use the contact details below.
