We all like a party from time to time, and enjoy listening to music. Where this is only very occasional and the music is controlled, most people will be tolerant.
If you intend to hold a party, please consider the following advice:
An advice leaflet is available providing information on the Do's and Donts of noise.
It is quite a different matter if the parties become too frequent and the music is played too loud, or late into the night.
If you are regularly disturbed by parties from the same address, then please contact a member of Environmental Health by filling in our request for service form and returning it to us, or by telephone on 01843 577580.
You will need to provide details and information about the party, including:
Those responsible will then be contacted and advised that they are causing a noise disturbance to neighbours, and what may happen if they continue to have noisy parties.
Environmental Health may serve an abatement notice and take legal action if the noisy parties continue.
