Civil Parking Enforcement Policy
Changes to the way Councils enforce parking are on the way as
the Government's long awaited Civil Parking
Enforcement Regulations come into force on 31st March 2008.
All of the Councils in Kent have worked together to produce a
leaflet explaining how the new regulations will affect you.
Where to park in Thanet:
Thanet provides pay and display facilities to for short-term and
long term parking. Season tickets are available on request. Prices
vary in accordance with the location and the pay and display
options.
Car Park Season Ticket
To apply for a Parking Season Ticket for car parks you need to
download and complete the Car Park Season
Ticket application form or come into Thanets Gateway Plus.

Appealing against a parking notice
If you feel that your parking notice was wrongly issued, or
that there are special circumstances in your case, you may lodge an
appeal. You may also view the evidence that resulted in the issue
of your notice online.
(Please have your Vehicle Registration Number and Penalty
Charge Notice Number ready)
- write to the Civil Enforcement Office, Thanet District Council,
PO Box 9, Cecil Street Margate CT9 1XZ.
If you write in and appeal to us within 14 days of the notice
being issued, then we will give you the opportunity to pay the
reduced rate even if the appeal is turned down.
