Allotments
Interested in having an allotment?
The Council has sites in:
- Birchington at Quex Park, Brunswick Rd.
- Broadstairs at Norman Rd and Prospect Rd.
- Margate at Brooke Avenue Garlinge, Dane
Valley, Nash Rd and Tivoli Rd.
- Ramsgate at Cemetery Gates Cecilia Rd, Chilton
Lane, Jackey Bakers Stirling Way and Margate Rd.
- Westgate at Lymington Rd.
The cost of an allotment ranges from between £2.20 per
perch (approx. 25.2sq m) and £17.00 minimum charge (excluding
a small charge for a key) depending on which site is chosen.
The average size of a plot is 250sq meters although these can be
divided down into a smaller plot if required depending on
availability.
Some allotment sites have waiting lists so you will need to
supply your full name, address and contact telephone number in
writing to the Allotment Section, Thanet District Council, PO Box
9, Cecil St, Margate, Kent CT9 1XZ or via email to leisureservices@thanet.gov.uk.
A copy of the “Rules” and a plan of any of the
sites can be supplied.
