Audit of Open Space, Sport and Recreation (PPG 17)
A major assessment of Thanet’s open spaces,
sport and recreation facilities has been carried out for the
Council. The final report and an executive summary is now
available.
The Government has an expectation that all
local authorities should carry out these assessments to inform
planning decisions and to enable proper consideration of future
provision of facilities within the District to meet the communities
needs.
The reports are published as submitted to the
Council and no decisions in respect of any of the recommendations
contained within the reports have been made. The Council will be
considering those recommendations and considering what action to
take in coming months.
