Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA)

The SFRA has been prepared as part of the Council’s emerging Local Development Framework process, and  sets out the procedure to be followed when assessing new sites that fall within a flood risk area.  The SFRA is intended to provide a better understanding of flood risks, national planning guidance on Flood Risk zones, and the implications of how flood zones interact with potential development sites.

 

The SFRA is in three volumes.  The documents are available online as PDFs - if you require any of these documents in an alternative format please contact Strategic Planning.

 

Volume 1 is the SFRA Report which outlines and discusses various flood management issues and presents conclusions and recommendations of the SFRA.

Volume 2 contains the maps that accompany the report.  These can be found below.
