Aerial photographs are also available to purchase at each of these scales for the same location.

Background

The Ordnance Survey Map Return Scheme has in the past permitted the Council to supply extracts of OS mapping for planning applications. The Map Return Scheme ceased on 30 September 2007 and from 1 October 2007, the Council will procure OS products from a Licensed Partner covering 1:500, 1:1250 & 1:2500 scale mapping for use with planning and building control applications. Thanet District Council has formed a partnership with ‘Getmapping’. Getmapping is a Licensed Partner of Ordnance Survey reselling a range of OS mapping and is also a leading supplier of aerial photography in the UK. These will be available via our getmapping partnership website and payment will be made online.
