Wheeled Bin sizes

Each household will receive two standard sized bins which can contain up to 180 litres of waste (approximately two and half standard refuse bags). 

Standard wheeled bins - 180 litre bin

(H) 1070 mm or 42" x (W) 485mm or 19" x (D) 740 mm or 29"

Smaller wheeled bins - 140 litre bin

If you live alone or in a small household you may prefer smaller wheeled bins

(H) 1050 mm or 41" x (W) 485mm or 19" x (D) 560 mm or 22"

Larger wheeled bins - 240 litre bin

A larger waste bin can only be provided if you have five or more permanent residents in the household or have medical reasons for the request.  You may be required to provide a medical certificate or one of our Waste and Recycling officers may visit you to discuss the arrangements.
