Tenants become inspectors!

A team of tenant and leaseholder volunteers have trained to become Tenant Inspectors. 

What they are going to be doing:

• Spot check empty properties to see if they meet the Property Letting Standard.
• Report communal area repairs and check to see if the repair has been completed within the repair response time.
• Join the housing teams on Estate Walkabouts to test the Neighbourhood Management Standard.
• Mystery shop our telephone services, public offices and website content to test the quality of our customer services.

The Tenant Inspectors’ findings will be reported to the TTLF and Tenant Repair Group as well as EKH managers. 

The TTLF and Tenant Repair Group regularly monitor performance and will be able to ask the Tenant Inspectors to scrutinise services where performance targets are not being met or if satisfaction with the service is very low.

As a result of scrutinising the housing services Tenants Inspectors will be able to highlight where we are going wrong and recommend improvements.
