Thanet District Council tenants and leaseholders have an opportunity to become a member of the forum, by standing in the elections, which are held every 3 years.

The elections were held in early 2010 and the following people were elected as representatives on the forum:

 Some of the issues that the Forum members will be involved in are:

·                   Setting /reviewing service standards

·                   Monitoring performance

·                   Consulted on Maintenance and Repair budgets

·                   Consulted on Business Plan

·                   Selection of Contractors

·                   Awarding and monitoring Tenant Participation Grant Fund

In 2010/2011 the forum awarded the following funding:

- Over £4,500 for bin room improvement at Chatham Court

- Almost £5,000 to the Windmill Community Allotment Project based in Margate

- Over £10,900 for the refurbishment project at the Millmead Community Hall (known as The Scout Hut)

The Forum meets on a formal basis every other month. View meeting dates.
