Grants and Loans

The following Grant and Loan schemes are operated by the council.  Grants and Loans can be awarded to people living in private accommodation, either owner occupied, or privately rented, to help improve their property.  Please note that they are subject to availability.

If you are a council tenant, or a tenant of a housing association, you should contact your landlord direct.

• Disabled Facilities Grants Grants towards providing essential adaptations to enable an occupant to use or access their home.
• Energy Efficiency tips and advice

Please note that funding is longer available in 2009/10 for the following three schemes.

• Warm Homes Scheme: for heating and insulation.
• Decent Homes Scheme:  to improve non-decent homes occupied by vulnerable people
• Landlord Loans.  Interest free home improvement loans for landlords.
