Housing Strategy 2012-2016

The Housing Strategy 2012-2016 was adopted at a meeting of the full Council of 28th February 2013. This Strategy addresses the National Housing Strategy, the Comprehensive Spending Review and Welfare and Benefit reforms.

We have identified five strategic priorities:

Deliver a range of homes to meet the local housing need which residents can afford
Make better use of the existing housing stock across all tenures and improve housing conditions
Enable vulnerable people access to good quality housing and to live independently
Provide an accessible housing options services for Thanet residents
Deliver housing in support of our regeneration and economic development objectives
