Our challenge is to strengthen our Civic Warden team, as they strive to develop support services including undertaking security, caretaking and delivery duties within the Dover District Council main office complex at Whitfield Dover, to act as chauffeur to the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Leader and other Members at external civic functions and engagements and to act as Attendant to the Chairman and Vice Chairman.
We are looking to recruit two part-time Civic Warden Assistants who will work 22.5 hours each, per week on a staggered system of working rotated on a three week cycle. You will have experience in a similar role together with a practical knowledge of building maintenance work. Experience of chauffeuring dignitaries and the protocol associated with attending to Senior Elected Members and Council Officials at civic functions could also be advantageous. The ability to deal with people is desirable, as is the ability and willingness to work with minimal supervision.
These posts requiring evening and weekend work and you must hold a full driving licence and have sole use of a vehicle. A willingness to undertake emergency call out is essential.
