Supporting the Arts

At Thanet District Council, we aim to support our Creatives as much as possible. 

Whether you are a member of an organisation or an individual, we are happy to spend time:

• Working with new Creatives, re-locating to the area.
• Connecting Creatives in the area to other non-creative businesses.
• Reviewing funding applications to Trusts and Foundations or other funding bodies - to give you the maximum chance of making a successful application and meeting set criteria.
• Offering advise on Creative Business Planning.  What is your Vision, Mission, Aims and Objectives? We can help you focus on these areas.
• Self-Promotion.  A lot of Creatives don't like to promote themselves. If you are having trouble putting together your Biography we can help you.
• We can tell you where you need to be advertising your exhibitions or events - just ask!
• We create work opportunities through arts projects.
• Publicising Thanet as the place to be creating and making art - making people aware you are here.

Voluntary Arts

We also offer advice to many Voluntary Art Organisations.  We are always happy to meet with you and discuss your needs.  Although we may not be able to offer financial assistance, we can often help you find new ideas and solutions. An excellent resource is the Voluntary Arts Network.
