Guidance Notes for Organisers Planning an Event on Council Premises

We have produced this guide to help you identify some of the steps you need to take for a successful and safe event. It is not comprehensive but it should help you to spot potential hazards associated with your event, point you in the direction of people who can help in the planning stage and provide you with a basic event check list.

The Events Team at Thanet District Council is always happy to help the area’s event organisers in whatever way we can. In particular, as part of the council’s duty of care, we want to make sure that organisers are aware of their responsibility for the event. You can contact us on 01843 577092.
