Filming in the Villages
Thanet is home to eight pretty villages each offering a
range of historic and unique locations.
Birchington - The largest of the villages with a bustling high
street, award winning water sports bay, quaint fisherman cottages,
Bauhaus houses, private and exclusive estates whose gardens back on
to the beach.
Minster - Boasts one of England's oldest
inhabited buildings Minster Abbey and has its own country farm and
museum.
St Nicholas-at-Wade - Named after St Nicholas,
the patron saint of sailors, this pretty hamlet has a Norman
Church, quaint cottages and rural retreats.
Cliffsend - Is home to the prestigious "Hugin"
a full size Viking replica Longship gifted to the area by Denmark
over 50 years ago. An array of pretty rural homes, some of which
overlook Pegwell Bay, which is a beach of scientific and
international importance.
Manston - Home to Kent International Airport,
the village has many aviation links including the RAF and Spitfire
and Hurricane Museum pay tribute to the village's contribution to
World War I and II.
Acol and Monkton - are traditional rural
villages, with villages greens, pretty walks and pubs.
Sarre - Is the smallest village with its own
windmill and pretty country cottages. Once a Cinque Port, the area
is now landlocked a few miles form the sea.

and return it to us completed by post or fax, together with a copy
of your public liability insurance for £5 million.
