Services for Disabled Children

Disabled children are specifically designated as children in need by the Children Act and are therefore eligible for services that will help them achieve their full potential. A range of community based services are provided, alongside specialist services such as occupational therapy, services for children with sensory disabilities and respite care, to enhance the child's quality of life and promote their independence.

Safer Streets

the Blind Association has produced an A-Z leaflet guide to street obstacles.  It offers practical suggestions for an obstacle free environment, these include cutting back overhanging hedges, and avoiding blocked walkways by removing badly positioned advertising boards and wheelie bins.
