Kent’s Leading Free Air and Land Festival

In its new location, Margate seafront this year, Margate's Big Event promises thrilling flying displays each day alongside live music and entertainment for all. It's a great family weekend.

If you are not already one of the event's loyal fans, give it a try this summer. You won't want to miss this family friendly festival.

The event will be open from 10.30 am until 10pm on Saturday and from 10.30am to 6pm on Sunday.

This year's line up includes....

Headlining this year's flying show are the Vulcan and the Red Arrows display team. We are also expecting Tornado G4 bombers, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Tigers who will parachute into the sea off Margate Main Sands.
Live bands, some old and some new, catering for all tastes and ages
Fairground - white knuckle rides as well as gentler rides for children
Saturday evening live music and firework finale.

This year we are pleased to be teamed up with the Margate Carnival Group who will be holding their famous annual Raft Race, which is billed to take place at 1.30 pm on Sunday 19th June and promises to bring fun and frolics to this years Big Event!
