Margate is accessible by road on the A299 and A28. Once in Margate, drive along the seafront past the railway station and follow the event signage for the nearest car parking.
Please note: From 8.00 am on Friday 17 June until 11.00 am on Monday 21 June, there will be no access to Margate seafront on the stretch from Marine Drive to Fort Crescent and the Old Town, as all these roads will be closed.

Free parking is offered at all council owned car parks to Blue Badge holders (disabled drivers) - this does not include Morrisons or Dreamland, which are both privately owned.

Travel into Margate from all main stations. When leaving Margate train station head for Margate Main Sands, which is a five minute walk away, where all the fun of Margate's Big Event awaits you!!
The Thanet Loop is running every 10 minutes from Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate. The Loop will drop you off in Cecil Square, a five minute walk away from the main seafront where all the Margate's Big Event action will be taking place!
Cycle or walk the Viking Coastal Trail to Margate's Big Event. The Viking Coastal Trail is one of the most attractive leisure cycle routes in Kent, consisting of a 27 mile-long route or six shorter themed routes. Discover what Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs have to offer along the way to the event on Margate's seafront.
Note: We ask that cyclists dismount and walk through the Parade and Marine Drive section of the Viking Coastal Trail as this falls within the pedestrianised area for this event.
