Public Toilets
There are various public toilets throughout Thanet, some of
which are only open throughout the summer season; April to
September. The majority include a facility for the
disabled with several also offering baby changing facilities.
Full details, together with opening times, are listed
below. The seasonal toilets are closed until the
first week of April 2009.
A Radar key is needed to gain access to our disabled toilets,
these can be purchased at Thanet's Gateway, Cecil Street,
Margate or from any of our
Visitor Information centres (external site). Please note
that this is a non refundable purchase.
For security purposes disabled toilets are padlocked
outside of opening times.
The National Key Scheme (NKS) has been set up by the Royal
Association for Disability and Rehabilitation (Radar) to allow
disabled key holders independent entry to all toilets fitted with a
lock, which include toilets in railways, pubs and shopping
centres.
