Disability Sport
The team is committed to working to improve
opportunities for people with a disability to take part in sport.
This will be achieved by:
- co-ordination & co-operation with
other agencies
- creating links to schools and day
centres
- helping clubs welcome disabled people
- raising awareness
- supporting skill development
- recognising achievements and promoting
excellence
Disability Sport Events
We organise ideal coastal walking events for people with a range
of disabilities, including those requiring wheelchairs or mobility
scooters.

Target Shooting
A group of people with disabilities have been
trying out the sport of target shooting at the Ramsgate and Dover
Rifle Club.
The day out was organised by Thanet District
Council’s Disability Sportlink Officer, with the group given
tutoring in the finer points of target shooting using both .22
