The third annual Thanet Sports Awards will take place on Wednesday 23rd November 2011 at Margate Winter Gardens. Doors open at 7pm for a strict 7.30pm start.
Fast becoming the most prestigious awards ceremony in Thanet, there is loads to look forward to;
The awards (organised by Thanet Sports Network) offer the chance to celebrate ‘all things sport’ in Thanet over the course of the year 1st Sept 2010-31st August 2011. Family, friends, sports coaches, teachers and sports professionals are asked to nominate individuals and teams from the whole range of sports on offer in the district and from all age groups.
The award categories aim to include not just high level achievers but also those that have shown extraordinary enthusiasm and dedication. Nominations must be for residents of Thanet District or members of Thanet based clubs or attendants of a school in Thanet. Category winners and those highly commended are invited to receive their awards at a special gala ceremony along with a host of people involved in the Thanet sports community and some very special guest stars!
Thank you for all of your great nominations. If you have missed the deadline, make sure you remember nominations are open for two months from September to mid October each year.
Nominations are judged by a panel consisting of members of the network on the quality of nomination and not by the number of nominations/votes.
Those that are shortlisted for an award will be informed in the next two weeks and invited to the gala ceremony on 23rd November. See you there.
The sponsorship scheme, launched exclusively in the KM Thanet Extra and on KMFM, includes gold, silver and bronze packages with different pricing options.
Gold sponsorship is £3000 and gives sole sponsorship of the Thanet Sports Awards 2011, with company branding and other promotional opportunities at the ceremony, company name and logo on all 11 awards, the opportunity to present all 11 awards and a special sponsors table at the ceremony for 10 VIP guests.
Smaller companies can support the awards with the bronze sponsorship package which, at £300, includes company branding and sponsorship of one award and two VIP guests. The silver sponsorship package is £500 and includes sponsorship of two awards and four VIP guests.
